Process Carriers and Magazines
Process carriers and magazines makeup the backbone of semi and fully automated material handling and conveyance systems.
Process Carriers hold multiple parts and are conveyed through a work cell or integrated production line for part processing.
Magazines hold multiple process carriers. Unprocessed parts in magazines are loaded onto an automated magazine unloader system, such as Martek Automation’s 1120U-CE. The magazine unloader moves one process carrier at a time onto a downstream conveyorized system for part processing. At the opposite end of a work cell or integrated line a magazine loader, such as Martek Automation’s 1120D-CE, receives the process carriers with the completed parts into an empty slot. Once all slots are full the magazines can be transported to the next operation.
